reincarnation is not an afterlife.....its another life. The Hindus actually consider reincarnation a karmic punishment. you can reach nirvana in the eastern views but at that point you ARE a god in their ideal. Any physicist or cosmologist fully invested in their research would never venture to say that you would be transported to a parallel universe after death on earth. the only way youre achieving an afterlife is thru some form of religious faith my stupid frail little internet pal.

Always thought Reincarnation is a form of afterlife. It's after one life and on to the next life with a purpose of correcting karmic punishment.

Not exactly too sure how they achieve the end result because each religion has it's own beliefs - but interesting enough to look in to.

I shall return on topic but yea - no one kills themselves just because they want to know what afterlife is like... That's insanity aka a mental health issue.

As someone who suffers from depression, i can still say that suicidal tendencies are very real and hard to deal with. Add in copious drug use (not saying its a definite contributer but it often is with celebrity suicides) and it's all bad.

Sometimes people just off themselves. But depression is real.

i have no ill will to those that commit suicide, i don't view it as cowardice or venerate it but i can respect the act for what it is. i've felt the urge plenty, the only thing stopping me was the pain it would cause others. now im past that stage though
