They're a shit show. If you're going to bench Cutler at least start Fales? Clausen is a known, shit, quantity. This is Tressman trying to save his job by proving he can make anyone but Cutler into a passable NFL QB. I was a Tressman fan. I think he's an OC, for another team, at best now. He can't lead a locker room.
But even that analysis forgets the real problems with this team. The offensive line is shit. Our linebackers are the worst in the league. Besides Fuller our secondary is horrible horseshit. Forte's getting older. Our receivers got hurt. We have no depth. We had a legit shot at a playoff spot if everything broke right. Everything broke even and then regression hit. I pray for Rex Ryan. If the Jets are dumb enough to let him go and he comes to Chicago I'll be a happy man. We'll be bad for a few years but I'd trust him. I actually kind of like Emery as a GM so hopefully he stays. Shit year, man. |
