My gi is fire and I'm only a purple belt. I like nogi better tho that's why I didn't pursue my Brown belt. But I'm black belt quality at nogi, fell in love with it, but having the basics down from the gi helps a lot before starting nogi, atleast get a close to a blue belt before going nogi

I live in SC. I'm from NJ and have lived and worked in Manhattan. I've only been down here 6 years you chucklefuck.

I have trained in NYC, my friends have trained in NYC, and literally tens of thousands of people on reddit, sherdog, etc. have reviewed the gyms I mentioned, which are run by some of the most acclaimed and talented grapplers in the history of the sport.
