iunno how the fuck this board is talking about catcher and the rye lol

but if anyone born in the last 3 decades better communicated with each other, we would be pleasantly surprised to find how few of us actually appreciate the "classic".

if anyone 30 or younger says they like catcher and the rye --- ask them 3-4 questions about it to ensure they read it and aren't following popular consensus by default.

Otherwise, I think the plot in this thread is compelling enough to have already out-rivaled that of the one in the book.
