We all want to go that higher place
The place where our hopes and dreams reside
And all we gotta do is grow our wings
And fly...

With my destiny in hand, I start blessing beats demands
My presence is commanding a higher legion
I'm forgetting all my past and with heaven in my plans
I'm ascending from the grass to a higher region
Where the sparks in our eyes form the stars in the sky
Where our hearts all survive through the darkness at night
Where the wrong falls to right while the dawn's gleaming bright
Where we're drawn to the light till we're gone and we die!
That's the crossing of life to serenity and peace
Where I'm flocking in flight with identities with wings
I'm embellishing a scene, with divinity and me
And exhausting dark ties before my memory depletes
Back when I was out cold sleeping in a bed of snow
When acid drips were seeping through my skin and bone
Back when it seemed like misery was set in stone
When my hopes & dreams were hidden in my head, alone
Back when black demons had my soul pried
Like I don't want a piece of mind, I want the whole pie
I played my violin in a symphony of devils
Lost in the deadly melody of peril
That's when it hit me like the brightest idea
Like an insight that peered, that was righteous and clear
It was a pen and a pad that helped me fight all my fears &
lend me a hand to help me wipe all the tears from an
angelic face that was sad and disgraced, that was dragged through the flames
that was stabbed and misshaped, that was bagged and detained
that was blackened by shame, but it's status to-day is glad with a gaze!
And it shines... like Northern Lights in the sky
Knowing that I'm growing with a mind that's sublime
Knowing that I'm potent in a time that is mine
And knowing that I'm soaring through the heights with a rhyme
I've flown passed mountain peaks to paradise
Where blue clouds form and no one cares to cry
Where every single entity embraces their life
Where joy is the truth and pain is a lie!
And that's where you go when you're feeling alive
When all of your hopes and dreams are in sight
When you are at one with peace and delight
When you see the message with this piece that I write
