Well shit. I though I was gen X.

They're empty labels any way. Just a way to generalise people and create barriers in the same of vein of race, gender, social labels etc, rather than addressing how individual people behave.

My only problem with vegans is basically summed up by the fact that every single one (no exceptions) I've met NEEDED to tell me, and tell me within 5 minutes of meeting me. In the tones of 'Just to let you know I'm better than you'. Not once have I ever had to say 'You're a vegan? I didn't know that!' sincerely. I find atheists are often the same way.
