i'd redact it all. it's hard to resist
painting it black with a chisel tip.
slashed into little bits,
sheet after sheet discarded in bins,
future me's archaeological dig.
buried so deep in memory's ephemera,
it'd escape the attention of
any unsavory questioners.
i'm plainly defensive.
i've learned the consequence
of rejecting your past.
you forget you forgot, and...
that's that.
