That's what the navy uses for armed watch standers. The firing blocks on those things break CONSISTENTLY. probably wouldn't be able to get out a couple hundred rounds before that happened.

No, that's because the Navy doesn't carry well conditioned firearms on boats, and they don't maintain their weapons. I never had a single with issue with my M9 (any of them) in the Marine Corps. And I handled them a bit. I was a range coach.

I would comfortably rec a Baretta or a sig over a large majority of pistols simply because I trust them.

Are you kidding me? I was literally in charge of maintaining all the weaponry on board my boat. Maintenance is and was always regular (on submarines).

Perhaps, the weapons at the armory were all breaking because of how salty Hawaiian air is. The air destroyed everything.

Those things broke all the time. I'll never trust them enough to own one
