see thats where bullshit comes form, xbox replaced every red ring 360 it sent out, and you claim sony never had faild machines? i had 2 ps3s go bonkers and just sotp playing discs . i had one xbox 360 with red ring and i got it replaced for free by microsoft which they paid for shipping handling and everything. so what you say is untrue
