thy name is St. George, a knight from famed days of yore
with my escapades stored in scribed pages of lore chasing satanic creatures divine nature abhors maimed & slain by my sword in the righteous name of the lord whispers lately speak of this cave dwelling scaly treat w/ razor teeth & tongue to tail length which scaled eighty feet a dangerous demon breathing in flames to speak so i hasten to leave & make way to sacredly slay the beast by the reins i reach the terrain where it sleeps & lays try to sneak but from the shade somebody speaks my name princess gretchen, who wishes for a pet to leash & train she plans to domesticate the beast, impress him to be meek & tame disagreement abounds from our different visions of how the situation should play out whenever the lizard is found in the end the miss represents the will of the crown came to its defense which prevents me from killing it now a storm unexpected brews as night pursues etched in gloom & Gretchen becomes restless & stressed under the crescent moon to address her mood i sung her a special tune which expressed the view it would eject the cave by day & we would catch it soon an attempt i had to endure & gladly it worked for i had her passion preserved with the minstrel's magical words but my attraction had me off track, for it hadn't occurred this lack of focus meant we didn't notice that the dragon emerged with its wing-span exposed it begins to advance but the princess isn't stressed, instead she just sticks with the plan so as I stab its neck & its blood drips from this lance she fastens her strap, a leash that at least gives it a chance my failure to slay equates the princesses success measured i best remain as we venture on a most treacherous trek & what to expect when we return to the town will the dragon become it's pet or simply let it catch & burn to the ground |
