Umm what? What other defensive statistics could buoy them? rebounds? steals are the forced fumbles of the NBA. A steal is a free possession for your offense. In addition, steals are far more difficult to accomplish than any other defensive stat that would buoy them. So.......your argument is invalid and nonsensical. I am beginning to doubt your perception.

Magic Johnson is a better point guard than Stockton. Isaiah Thomas is a better point guard than Stockton. Chris Paul is a better point guard than Stockton. To name a few.
