Has anyone else been thinking about the presidential election like the NBA?

Republicans run a 3rd party establishment candidate who guarantees a Hilary win BUT brings disillusioned traditional Republicans to polls so they maintain more seats in Congress. Because Congress inevitably turns against the president during midterms (at least for the last 20 years) they can aquire more seats on 2018 meaning they're poised for a huuuuge payoff during the 2020 redistricting
