It's real to him but it's a different perspective. Tupac didn't grow up as rough and there's mad videos of him being soft in his early teenage acting career on youtube that are laughable when contrasted with his later persona but I respect both for being real and not being sociopaths. The problem is you all place too much credence in writing, and by writing i mean the literal writing of verses. Not like songwriting. Which leads to the music debate. Pac made better music than pretty much everyone. Snoop is top 10.

Jada is top 50 off lyricism alone. Dmx is top 20 overall.

Its silly to even mention them in the same breath.

If were just talking lyricism like the skill of the writing of verses in songs, just on a technical level, than pac and snoop probably aint even in the top 100

But as overall artists they are head and shoulders above those two without question and its laughable to even consider it.

I believe hip hop is lifestyle and lyrics, the beats themselves are marginally important, more so if they help amplify the content.
