word thanks wise

and word inno i know what you're talking about. its the last segment of the intro. the only way to chop it clean was to take more off of the end of the chop, but then time stretching it to fill the space makes the tempo seem off.

like the intro is 8 bars including the needle drop. 2 beats of needle/record static, 2 beat horn thing, 2 beat horn thing, and 2 beat horn thing.

the last 2 beat horn thing is the one thats off. the other two sound fine because i didnt have to clip anything off them to make it work.

if you listen to the sample i used, the horn stab comes on before the kick drum in the sample. i took it to the kick initially, but it sounds weird with the horns dropping a split second before the drums, so i just chopped the section where the horn starts before the kick out, and stretched it to fit

the stretching causes it to slow down in relation to the others.

the intro took me the longest tinkering wise lmao. i'm thinking i'm gonna go back in and not time stretch it, and just drop it in relation with it, but it might make the beat come in too soon. i dunno lol

this might sound like technical mumbojumbospeak but word thanks for checking
