Tried pof and okcupid when I was in the Navy. My comrades were pulling all sorts of freaks on both websites. I suppose it didn't work out for me because I wasn't direct about whether I just wanted to fuck or get a girlfriend.

One of my homies met a girl on pof, she worked at target, apparently he met up with her to take her to work and break the ice, but ended up fucking her raw dawg in the target parking lot. There's some trashy people on pof. I would imagine a majority of them are below your tax bracket though.
