He didn't say he can't enjoy things subtly...he said he doesn't do so with alcoholic beverages.

Also, I should point out that there are alcoholics I would name in my list of the realest men I know...people who don't have a childish bone in their body (no tyson), it's silly to categorize people like that just because they don't do things how you do.
