buy a mic.
get a 100 dollar condensor or whatever (not dynamic) microphone, its all you need. you can get any recording program free. whether you are serious, or rapping is just a hobby, you should still have some type of home setup. the more you record the better you will get. your not gonna make any significant strides if your just rapping into your phone with a beat playing in the background humans have brains that learn things. thats why i hate text so much. you are conditioning your brain to write text raps. not real raps. not you bodey, you are conditioning your brain to one take verses, which is fine, but you havent conditioned it in the area of writing a real solid verse without even listening to the track you mention, i guarantee there are lines that are too long where you gotta pick up the speed to fit it, or shit where you slow down, instead of having consistent flow if you could record for real when you keep tripping over a line you could tweak it from the get go, instead of just fixing your delivery to put the line in the key to real rap is dont force it. 99 percent of amateur rappers try and get too deep. oh i can't cut this line its DOPE. no its not. its fucking trash. i dont care if you figure out the cure for cancer in a bar, if it dont sound natural when you spit it, cut that shit. it ruined any sense of dopeness. your better off having a wack line that flows, then a dope line that doesnt. quit conditioning and repeating things the wrong way. the more you do something the wrong way the harder it is to do it the right way.
