There are certainly different types of intelligence, but I still stand behind my statement.
People with street smarts don't have kids they don't want or can't afford to look after any more than people with book smarts. Actually, the very act of having a kid you don't want or can't afford to look after precludes you from claiming any kind of intelligence.
