are we expected to check in? i don't see it in the rules or a check in dead line, but i do see some people checking in. i was going to check in last week but because i didn't see it in the rules i didn't want to free post in the battle. so now i'd like to know what is expected of me.

You can check in if you'd like. Check-in posts get deleted when the battle is opened.
