While the subtleties you mentioned do not jump out to me, i became very empathetic in recent years -- almost to an overwhelming degree.

More of a curse than a gift since I am compelled to say something to them and most people aren't ready to talk about it if they do not think they've revealed anything to you...

Not sure if that relates at all, because i often do not know why specifically re: the details you mentioned, it's literally just an aggregate feeling i get.
