We evolved due to what the previous species of humans indulged in(hunting for example). The rest of our teeth are still flat though. I think the evolution of teeth is just one of the things that went against our original design.

Did you know 70% or so of humanity is some degree of lactose intolerant? We weren't made for most animal byproducts.
