Most may say that the idea of lesbians are against social norms. But a lot of them are actually subconsciously trying to fit in with them. I'll explain:

In an average lesbian relationship you have femmes and butches. What's the point of being a lesbian if you immitate a man and a woman? Is it some
kind of subconscious hardwired programming?? Are you really lesbian or just infinitely curious? Pardon my bluntness.

People are people man, their ever evolving ... Think about how many men and women died unhappy up until the hippy movement because they had these feelings of homosexuality but it was so unethical to be gay they just conformed to societies standards and live a " normal " life.

Thank you frank metts. Why would someone "choose" to be gay. You cannot help who you fall in love with. That why its called soulmates. The whole perception that a girl thinks they switched teams is cuz of sexual abuse isn't actually true. Cuz why would some others not switch? My best friend got abused by her grandfather for 7 years and after 5 years of therapy and healing, she is proudly engaged to a man. that kind of abuse causes distrust in all human beings, not just a specific gender- once you're betrayed by your own family or someone close. I'm friends with gays both males and females and as far as the females go who "switched teams", some of them don't even consider themselves gay. They'd been with guys all their lives and then one day got close to one of their girlfriends and it unexpectedly grew from there. They fell in love with the person, not the fact that she was a girl. Hererosexuals are born wired a certain way just as homosexuals are. Girl on girl relationships are also a lot more intimate, not sexually but in understanding one another's emotions and I guess being more delicate than say an average guy would. I used to think gay and straight was cut an dry but the more people I meet who open up to it I think it's more involved than that. It can't be a choice if someone is crying and wishing they weren't what they were, ya know what I mean.

But growing up, one of my best friends had a little brother, I knew him between the ages of 5-8, he was always really feminine. We never teased him about it or anything, well once he hit freshman year or so he came out the closet. He was clearly born gay, cuz his bro said even when he was younger he was just feminine, born that way

I don't like agreeing with u. But this is true. I've talked to my wife about this cause she had an lesbian experience in her life time like 90% of all females have. We was joking around about threesomes and I was like if u want let's do it but u know I'm gon be eating her pussy and fucking her, right? From there it went down hill cause she wasn't having that . My argument wasn't a debate on why people turn gay, but why the residual similarity in
relationship roles exists. My ex is a more modern lesbian, she has dated butch types, but it seems like

Some girls claiming to be bi and are attention whores are the ones actual lesbians hate. I saw an interview/study where a group of lesbians said they hate when party girls run around kissing lesbians and making out, but aren't actually gay. Very clear point here , I've known this dude Kenny since I was 4, he was always more feminine then the other boys and talked like a stereotypical gay man would .. Normal household mother and father, he didn't choose to talk like that or act feminine, that's what he felt was comfortable to him, that's who he was born to be. Of course he didn't come out till right after graduation but we already knew he was gay and have since like we knew what gay was.

Like I said before trauma can cause your brain to force you to not like a certain sex as can being institutionalized.
