Mike Powell, a human, jumped 29 feet, 4ΒΌ inches. Tigers can jump farther than humans. We're talking three steps and a leap for it to be entirely on top of you.

My best-case scenario bet is you kill the tiger but it lands, dead, on top of you and still feels like 600-plus pounds landing on top of you. More likely, the shots you land will be enough to cause the tiger to bleed out and die, but not before it lands on top of you and clubs you to death with a single paw swipe.

A trained hunter probably would prefer a long spear to an uzi in attacking a tiger for that reason. With a sharp and sturdy spear, you can keep some distance.
