It has nothing to do with being straight tho, it is about being a rational thinking human being and realising that just because someone chooses to have sex with someone you would not choose to have sex with does not make them wrong....just like you aren't wrong for having sex with women. Too much emphasis is put on this, I agree with that....I dont think it should be so important who anyone is having sex with....gay or straight.

But to say it's a hate crime to be straight just isn't true...it is a crime to act in a hateful way against anyone for how they look, or their sexual orientation, but nobody is judging people for being straight, nobody is hating people for being straight...I hear people saying things like 'being straight is a crime these days' all the time, which is just ridiculous...mainly because the world is still ruled almost exclusively by straight white men.

Fair enough if you perceive that to be happening, what you describe is wrong, but giving people the freedom to do what they want to with their own bodies is a basic human right and really shouldn't be an issue at all.

People being pushed into any sort of belief is wrong, but I honestly don't see it that way....I see it as people who have been abused and treated as second class citizens for so long are finally being allowed to express their desires and beliefs just how straight white Christian males have been able to do for centuries. I see it as equality, not a new fad or a lifestyle that will come and go. People have been gay from the beginning of time, whether right or wrong they should have the freedom to live how they please....straight men have been getting famous and glamorizing their own sexuality for a looong time, now gay people also have the freedom to do so, and while I don't agree with it, if one set of people are allowed to do it then so should any other.
