But he's a prisoner of himself as well, just in a slightly different way. The shit he's saying doesn't make any sense... Just because he doesn't follow the same laws and morals (which is human made to begin with) it doesn't really do much at all. It takes more than just breaking some rules or kill people to be free. You may get a false sense of freedom, but you're not completely free either way.

Doing whatever he feels like makes him distant from most humans, but it doesn't make him free from the constraints for feeling like doing those things, you see? To be completely free you should have absolutely no desires and it should natural to you to not care about anything because you're free from everything. I'd say a man like that is more free than someone that kills other people and rapes them to feel like he is just because there's laws that tries to stop him from doing it. So, with this in mind we can conclude with the fact that there are varying forms of ''freedom'', right?

It's not so black and white anymore as that prisoner makes it out to be. It doesn't make any sense. ''I'm more free than most others'', sure thing mr. criminal, but you're not completely free afterall, you just think you are and that's fine by me tbh.

The ENTIRE discussion boils down to wether freedom is a state of mind or not. Which it most probably is, but even that is a paradox my man, because in order to figure out what freedom truly is you need something to measure it with, and once we have that shit it isn't complete free either way because in order to be completely free there must be absolutely NOTHING to compare freedom with. Hard to explain but; being free means that there's absolutely no ties to anything whatsofucking ever, so just forget everything you think you know about the human psyche. Your mind is a prison in itself and it'll never be free because your judgement is clouded by influences from other places than yourself. At once you're infected with something like society or connection/bond with another being and/or experienced it sometime in your life, it's impossible to be free.

You could also argue the fact that by him being in jail he's just like EVERYONE else, everyone is free to murder/rape someone, they just choose not too and there's freedom to that as well. Freedom itself bases itself on choices, and if he felt like he didn't have a choice he for sure wasn't free. Dude's a fucking idiot V.

Edit: I'm also curious to what your definition of no conscience means. Is it a personality trait, or just something that can be connected to something that is human made like laws and/or morals which just wouldn't make sense to fit everyone anyways.
