everyone thought the fight was MEH. fighters, analysts etc. we all can agree the only list this fight makes is in the top selling of all time, it sold great cuz of masvidal and the hype around fight island during the ronies. it probably not even top 25 fights this year as far as entertainment value goes tho lol.

but just to clarify, i love a standup war as much as anybody. but i also love khabib. i love thugnasty. i like fighters who seek to finish a fight. wherever the fight goes. if usman would've tried finishing the fight, instead of controlling the fight it wouldve been more entertaining. but he played it smart. him trying to smash masvidal against the cage or when he took him down leaves holes to be exploited.

we understand that. its just corny to play it safe. you gain fans by dominance. a 4-1 where you beat the shit out of someone is alot different than a 4-1 where you stop someone from beating the shit out of you, periodically shoulder shrugging and stomping their toes. usman could be a dominant champ he has all the skills to be the black gsp. i can think of nothing worse for the division lol
