Because of the way you worded it.

Ideal delivery is as natural as conversation, even when read.
The punch is clever, but reads awkwardly cuz most of us wouldn't say it that way.

"..same as a beach prank: cover the body then head out"

..that reads better, even though it's still not that hard hitting imo.
