I was thinking no tourney, maybe two groups where they each battle once, top records go with voter differential as primary tie breaker move on to the finals. I feel like I'm dreaming, and pretty lame for being even remotely excited about this, but I am.

You could do a round robin first round to determine seeding...

then a top 8 second round based on seeding (based on votes, panel discussion or w/e)

then a top 4 3rd round

then boom FINALS

I feel like pancake would no show everything but other than that...you should be good we just need 1 sub since cake would no show?
