3 Mile Ride

It's a sunny day I look out the window it's round 10 after 12,
Inhale the car exhaust smells, take in soft blue and white in pastels.
Client on the Galaxy cell, time to make moves strike a deal.
Cruisin' the avenues in round about routes, cuz the scenery's swell.
Stop by my coffee haunt, I think that them owners are Greek.
They speak kinda funny, but their triple shots get me tweek'd.
Plus the cashier, she's real sweet, why I'm there least five days a week.
Then it's back on the street, head bobbing to radio generic type beats.
They say this place is run down, worn, just cracks on brick walls.
A den of crack addicts and bad habits, but I don't think that at all.
It's not a heavenless zone just full of the adreneline prone.
It's also home of the proudly humble and mentally strong.
And I could go on but I just arrived and my clients outside.
I get out the car adjust the tie, shake his hand and say "Hi."
