We're trapped inside invisible lines by cynical minds
Drivel enshrined, worshipping at the altar of brittle design
Pivotal times, we're told life's pinnacle is living in binds
Where freedom must be attained, must be given...assigned
These are criminal lies, they say it with a glint in the eyes
As we see the low get even lower, and the privileged rise
Tyranny's guise is to make us bicker with our own kind
The rich get richer, sick get sicker...and the hope dies
So we turn to drugs, we turn to liquor, as our soul cries
We betray our brothers and our sisters, and evoke lies
We fight and we curse, ignoring the plight of the earth
With our eyes to the ground until enlightenment bursts
Lift your chin, stand your ground, refuse to be oppressed
Stand in your own shoes, remove the blues, defeat regret
Pull YOUR desires from YOUR soul, and let them feast
Within every human is the recipe for impressive feats
Don't live depressed, in grief...we are but flesh, we're beasts
Just do your best, be yourself, deflect deceit
