I said its not based on who I know, its common since, your not going to get to play some justin beiber shit unless both parties signed off on it.
You can have it in your contract that you can pick your own music. Example: Triple H has a contact with WWE AND Motörhead. So anytime he needs new music, he can ask the band to make him a song for an X amount of money. They've made him two, and Evolution one. WWE also had a contract with the band Mercy Drive...who made Maven and Randy Orton both theme songs. They've got a contract with Rev Theory who've done a few pay per view songs, and Orton's current theme. It has to be agreed upon by both parties, but you still have SOME say. Being a noobie, you'll more than likely be denied this clause. But put in 4-6 years of dedication and hard work and I'm sure you'll earn it.

By the way, congrats on taking a hypothetical thread and bringing this bullshit into it. Go outside, now.
