NBL MAG WEEK 11
INTRO

Welcome u muthafuckas, this week was ok alot of nohoes but were working
on weeding that shit out, we have some dope sign ins blue bayou, bags, ht
black mask among others. me and sharp put this together for yah'll fags so
enjoy.

BATTLE REVIEWS

Champ: karaoke 9-0 vs nik-a 5-1
Jesus, this was as dope and close as a battle will get. I personally read it over a few times and went back and forth over who I thought won. Karaoke did a great job of personals that hit hard, even came with 3 Jordan lines that were all quoteable -. I thought his Finishline bar was LOTB. Nika was equally on point, his flipping tags line was dope as hell. Voters had it relatively even in quotes, with most giving Karaoke a slight advantage. In the end he won 12-2, and keeps up his undefeated streak.

Contender: destroyer 3-3 vs lotto smirk 4-4
This is one that I would’ve really like to see go down, but lotto was kept busy by real life obligations. The fact he got anything up is admirable, though it was below the 10 line minimum so Destro won by DQ. Destro was on point, anything I wouldn’t quote from him still hit pretty well. Lotto was understandably rushed, but he showed signs of getting outside the box that coulda made for a pretty sick battle.

Tictac 3-5 vs jimmy 2-1
Another mad close battle. Both guys had like equal amounts of hits, misses and played ideas, so it really came down to who’s hits were better. Most voters felt Jimmy’s facial Tic and creation debate lines overshadowed Tic, although his NBC and execution bars were done pretty well, and really showed him coming a long way in this league. Looking forward to seeing more from both, but Jimmy ended up winning 11-0 in a close one.

Tyler 1-0 vs god of war 1-1
This was a cool match but coulda been better, all things considered I still think it was slept on. Tyler didn’t come as well as he could’ve but still had a pretty good verse, the impractical jokers line was cool. GoW was on point though, just about everything hit, his directions and deadwood lines were dope. He got it 6-0 and moves on to a contender match.

Flossauraus 0-1 vs jonthedon 0-2
Close battle, both dudes were alright but had some fixing up to do. Floss had a few awkwardly worded spots and played ideas, but he kept it together decently. Jon was a little tougher to read and his verse really suffered for it. His purpose of floss line was solid, while Floss had a few more effective jabs. Both guys have plenty of room to grow and could definitely do a lot in the next few weeks, so looking forward to seeing more from both. Floss took it unanimously.

Sharp 1-1 vs script 0-1
Good battle, Scrypt. Scrypt kind of went for better flow than anything else - which I can appreciate cause if nothing else it means the verse reads kind of smoothly. His 9 on the waist and closer were pretty cool but done awkwardly. Most guys seemed to dig my beating a dead horse and found the verse consistent. If Scrypt kept that smooth read element to his verses and upped his game on concepts he could be a pretty entertaining battler, but for now I took it 11-0.
