These are the playoffs simulated for if the season ended, today.
Wild Card Round - Tennessee Titans @ Indianapolis Colts SCORING SUMMARY 1st Quarter TEN 2:28 TD Chris Johnson 29 yd. run (Bironas kick) 7-0 2nd Quarter IND 1:15 TD T.Y. Hilton 8 yd. pass from Luck (Vinatieri kick) 7-7 3rd Quarter IND 3:36 FG Adam Vinatieri 39 yds. 7-10 4th Quarter TEN 1:54 TD Kendall Wright 7 yd. pass from Fitzpatrick (Bironas kick) 14-10 Score - Tennessee 14 - Indianapolis 10 Player of the Game - Chris Johnson - 81 yards, 1 TD Meth's Personal Views - This would be an interesting game. Division games are always heated and very competitive, throw the playoffs into it and you would stir up one hell of a game. I would not be surprised by this outcome at all, however, personally I wouldn't predict, at least as of today. Andrew Luck is a budding star, and losing to Ryan Fitzpatrick in his first home playoff game wouldn't do a very good job of portraying that. Meth's Personal Projection - Tennessee 20 - Indianapolis 31 __________________________________________________ _________ Wild Card Round Kansas City Chiefs @ Cincinnati Bengals Scoring Summary - 1st Quarter KAN 0:38 FG Ryan Succop 36 yds. 3-0 2nd Quarter CIN 1:51 TD Cedric Peerman 27 yd. run (Nugent kick) 3-7 CIN 0:25 TD Jermaine Gresham 4 yd. pass from Dalton (Nugent kick) 3-14 4th Quarter KAN 12:44 TD Knile Davis 24 yd. run (Charles 2-PT conversion) 11-14 KAN 1:56 FG Ryan Succop 30 yds. 14-14 KAN 0:00 FG Ryan Succop 32 yds. 17-14 Score -Kansas City 17 - Cincinnati 14 Player of the Game - Knile Davis - 6 Carries, 78 Yards, 1 TD Meth's Personal Views - Definitely. This is the exact score I would predict. Maybe not how I would predict them getting the points, but it's pretty accurate. Without Atkins clogging the middle, Cincy was unable to stop the Chiefs from running the ball all day long. Meth's Personal Projection - Kansas City 17 - Cincinnati 14 __________________________________________________ ___________ Wild Card Round San Francisco 49ers @ Philadelphia Eagles Scoring Summary - 1st Quarter PHI 3:34 FG Alex Henery 49 yds. 0-3 2nd Quarter PHI 0:00 FG Alex Henery 60 yds. 0-6 3rd Quarter SAN 8:56 TD Anquan Boldin 11 yd. pass from Kaepernick (Dawson kick) 7-6 4th Quarter SAN 11:58 TD Frank Gore 4 yd. run (Dawson kick) 14-6 SAN 5:36 TD Frank Gore 10 yd. run (Dawson kick) 21-6 Score - San Francisco 21 - Philadelphia 6 Player of the Game - Frank Gore - 49 Yards, 2 TD's Meth's Personal Views - No shock here. I'd probably project at least an end zone trip for Philadelphia, but this score would seems about right. Meth's Personal Projection - San Francisco 24 - Philadelphia 14 __________________________________________________ ___________ Wild Card Round Carolina Panthers @ Detroit Lions Scoring Summary - 1st Quarter DET 8:49 TD 50 yd punt return (Akers kick) 0-7 DET 2:17 FG David Akers 41 yds. 0-10 2nd Quarter CAR 10:54 FG Graham Gano 39 yds. 3-10 DET 1:06 FG David Akers 34 yds. 3-13 DET 0:21 TD Reggie Bush 4 yd. run (Akers kick) 3-20 3rd Quarter CAR 5:38 TD Greg Olsen 7 yd. pass from Newton (Gano kick) 10-20 4th Quarter CAR 14:15 TD Brandon LaFell 15 yd. pass from Newton (Gano kick) 17-20 DET 10:21 FG David Akers 44 yds. 17-23 CAR 5:56 FG Graham Gano 36 yds. 20-23 DET 1:48 FG David Akers 46 yds. 20-26 DET 1:33 S 2013 Detroit Safety 20-28 Score - Carolina 20 - Detroit 28 Player of the Game - Cam Newton - 227 Total Yards, 2 TD's Meth's Personal Views - I like Carolina to win this one, although, maybe I like Detroit to lose it even more, either way this game would be very entertaining to watch, to see if Carolina's smash mouth front 7 could contain the Pass Attack of Stafford, Calvin and Reggie. Meth's Personal Projection - Carolina 27 - Detroit 20 __________________________________________________ _________ Divisional Round Tennessee Titans @ Denver Broncos Scoring Summary - 1st Quarter DEN 7:27 TD Montee Ball 13 yd. run (Prater kick) 0-7 2nd Quarter TEN 4:16 TD Kendall Wright 66 yd. pass from Fitzpatrick (Bironas kick) 7-7 DEN 0:39 FG Matt Prater 32 yds. 7-10 3rd Quarter DEN 10:25 FG Matt Prater 40 yds. 7-13 TEN 2:45 FG Rob Bironas 39 yds. 10-13 4th Quarter TEN 11:53 TD Chris Johnson 23 yd. run (Bironas kick) 17-13 DEN 5:35 TD Demaryius Thomas 52 yd. pass from Manning (Prater kick) 17-20 TEN 0:47 FG Rob Bironas 21 yds. 20-20 OT 1 DEN 5:59 FG Matt Prater 27 yds. 20-23 Score - Tennessee 20 - Denver 23 (OT) Player of the Game - Demaryius Thomas - 6 Rec, 127 Yards, 1 TD Meth's Personal Views - In what would be, according to the sim, the most epic game so far, I really don't disagree with the outcome. Peyton Manning does his thing even in the cold weather. Tennessee in my opinion, would definitely be able to stay competitive throughout the game, and they almost scored a touchdown on the last drive to take the lead in the 4th if not for a holding call. Meth's Personal Projection - Tennessee 23 - Denver 30 __________________________________________________ __________ Divisional Round Kansas City @ New England Scoring Summary - 1st Quarter KAN 8:42 FG Ryan Succop 48 yds. 3-0 2nd Quarter NEW 5:32 TD Shane Vereen 4 yd. run (Gostkowski kick) 3-7 NEW 1:34 TD Shane Vereen 39 yd. run (Gostkowski kick) 3-14 3rd Quarter NEW 3:27 FG Stephen Gostkowski 32 yds. 3-17 4th Quarter NEW 7:14 TD Kenbrell Thompkins 6 yd. pass from Brady (Gostkowski kick) 3-24 NEW 1:57 TD Shane Vereen 1 yd. run (Gostkowski kick) 3-31 Score - Kansas City 3 - New England 31 Player of the Game - Shane Vereen - 12 Carries, 74 Yards, 3 TD's Meth's Personal Views - Lol. Yeah. I mean, the weather in this game was 15 degrees with high winds. You'd think that'd be to KC's advantage, but Brady's the best cold QB of all time, so no real shocker here. This would be a crazy end to a crazy season for the Chiefs. Meth's Personal Projection - Kansas City 13 - New England 24 __________________________________________________ _____________ Divisional Round Detroit Lions @ New Orleans Saints Scoring Summary - 1st Quarter DET 4:32 FG David Akers 40 yds. 3-0 NEW 1:35 FG Garrett Hartley 50 yds. 3-3 2nd Quarter DET 6:20 FG David Akers 39 yds. 6-3 NEW 2:32 FG Garrett Hartley 45 yds. 6-6 DET 0:33 TD Calvin Johnson 23 yd. pass from Stafford (Akers kick) 13-6 NEW 0:00 FG Garrett Hartley 20 yds. 13-9 3rd Quarter NEW 10:09 TD Darren Sproles 6 yd. pass from Brees (Hartley kick) 13-16 4th Quarter NEW 9:50 FG Garrett Hartley 46 yds. 13-19 NEW 2:14 FG Garrett Hartley 44 yds. 13-22 Score - Detroit 13 - New Orleans 22 Player of the Game - Darren Sproles - 178 All Purpose Yards, 1 TD Meth's Personal Views - New Orleans would not be able to contain Calvin, however, their top 5 defense would order up some int's from the pick machine, Matthew Stafford, in what would a surprisingly lower scoring game. Meth's Personal Projection - Detroit 14 - New Orleans 23 __________________________________________________ ____________ Divisional Round San Francisco 49ers @ Seattle Seahawks Scoring Summary - 2nd Quarter SAN 14:15 FG Phil Dawson 28 yds. 3-0 SAN 6:18 FG Phil Dawson 46 yds. 6-0 3rd Quarter SEA 8:41 FG Steven Hauschka 21 yds. 6-3 4th Quarter SEA 5:12 FG Steven Hauschka 22 yds. 6-6 OT 1 SAN 3:16 FG Phil Dawson 45 yds. 9-6 Score - San Francisco 9 - Seattle 6 Player of the Game - Michael Crabtree - 4 Rec, 66 Yards Meth's Personal Views - 66 yards gets you the player of the game in this barn burner, and clash of NFC west foes. I'd think we'd get at least 1 touchdown? Not even a defensive one? OK, I guess not. I'd firstly predict Seattle to win this, being it's in the CLink. Which as I personally know... Loud. Secondly, I'd probably predict a touchdown as well. Meth's Personal Projection - San Francisco 10 - Seattle 16 (OT) __________________________________________________ _________ AFC Conference Title Game (Manning vs. Brady XV) New England Patriots @ Denver Broncos Scoring Summary - 1st Quarter NEW 11:56 FG Stephen Gostkowski 32 yds. 3-0 NEW 4:27 TD Shane Vereen -1 yd. run (Gostkowski kick) 10-0 2nd Quarter DEN 14:56 FG Matt Prater 48 yds. 10-3 DEN 10:08 TD Wes Welker 3 yd. pass from Manning (Prater kick) 10-10 3rd Quarter NEW 8:33 TD Stevan Ridley 1 yd. run (Gostkowski kick) 17-10 4th Quarter DEN 8:29 TD Wes Welker 1 yd. pass from Manning (Prater kick) 17-17 NEW 1:00 FG Stephen Gostkowski 23 yds. 20-17 Score - New England 20 - Denver 17 Player of the Game - Who else but Wes Welker? lol. 56 Yards, 2 TD's Meth's Personal Views - If Manning decided to retire after this season (which he won't) what a ceremonious way to do it. By losing to Tom Brady again. There's a couple things that are certain in life. Taxes, Death, and Tom Brady beating Peyton Manning. Meth's Personal Projection - New England 23 - Denver 17 (OT) __________________________________________________ _________ NFC Championship Game San Francisco 49ers @ New Orleans Saints Scoring Summary - 1st Quarter SAN 10:45 TD Michael Crabtree 92 yd. pass from Kaepernick (Dawson kick) 7-0 NEW 5:25 FG Garrett Hartley 50 yds. 7-3 2nd Quarter NEW 12:12 TD Khiry Robinson 14 yd. run (Hartley kick) 7-10 SAN 6:54 TD Kyle Williams 2 yd. pass from Kaepernick (Dawson kick) 14-10 NEW 1:53 TD Marques Colston 8 yd. pass from Brees (Hartley kick) 14-17 SAN 0:00 TD Mario Manningham 48 yd. pass from Kaepernick (Dawson kick) 21-17 4th Quarter SAN 14:52 TD Michael Crabtree 19 yd. pass from Kaepernick (Dawson kick) 28-17 NEW 6:37 TD Jimmy Graham 15 yd. pass from Brees (2-PT conversion failed) 28-23 NEW 4:04 FG Garrett Hartley 43 yds. 28-26 SAN 2:29 TD Kendall Hunter 61 yd. run (Dawson kick) 35-26 Score - San Francisco 35 - New Orleans 26 Player of the Game - Colin Kaepernick - 317 Total yards, 4 TD's, Int Meth's Personal Views - Hmm. I don't think San Fran's lowly offense could score 35 on a top 5 defense in the super dome. I just don't. Meth's Personal Projection - San Francisco 16 - New Orleans 24 __________________________________________________ _______ Superbowl San Francisco 49ers vs. New England Patriots (Metlife Stadium) Scoring Summary - 2nd Quarter NEW 11:16 FG Stephen Gostkowski 29 yds. 0-3 NEW 9:30 TD Danny Amendola 6 yd. pass from Brady (Gostkowski kick) 0-10 NEW 1:47 TD Julian Edelman 5 yd. pass from Brady (Gostkowski kick) 0-17 3rd Quarter SAN 7:47 TD Colin Kaepernick 2 yd. run (Dawson kick) 7-17 4th Quarter SAN 14:09 FG Phil Dawson 26 yds. 10-17 SAN 11:31 TD Kendall Hunter 10 yd. run (Dawson kick) 17-17 NEW 5:27 FG Stephen Gostkowski 30 yds. 17-20 SAN 1:35 TD Kendall Hunter 7 yd. run (Dawson kick) 24-20 Score - San Francisco 24 - New England 20 Player of the Game - Kendall Hunter - 49 Yards, 2 TD's Meth's Personal Views - San Fran scores 17 points in the 4th quarter to put an end on an incredible comeback against Brady... ok. Whatifsports.com is drunk, let's all go home now. Meth's Personal Projection - San Francisco 17 - New England 24
