NO LOVE FOR M.I.A., PAPER PLANES??
pharaohs army, the group you are referring to, I remembered as The Juggaknots, Peridot Smith... Again, she may or may not have done the writing. But she caught your ear a few yrs ago on a song or 2. Not in a top lyricist/ rapper listing, and not a full album selection-- so can't help you with the specific question, Quaker. That chick's verse on that M.O.P. Ante Up song is pretty cool I always thought. But again, these are individual songs or verses. Not albums. Rest of their things probly mediocre, comparatively. Altho, Was recently telling my cousin how that played-out Kelis Milkshake song has one of the best&most underrated hooks in music history. Verses good in it too. If she wrote it herself that's another good single for the list. Despite the radio overplay of it &the femininity of it. |
