Uneven movie. Ending left a lot to be desired. Overall, I was fascinated whenever Bill was on screen but only half-interested in anything else. DiCaprio was fine. His usual self. But the movie did nothing for me as a whole, didn't impart anything I enjoyed. It was an okay movie elevated by another unparalleled performance by Day-Lewis.

Whereas There Will be Blood is entirely Day-Lewis, as a point. It's deep, with meaning. And if we're talking surface level, performance vs. performance by Day-Lewis, it's not close. It's the best movie I've ever watched.

I STILL HOPE YOU GET INTO THE HOF, BAGS.

I prefer There Will Be Blood, but it's hard to compare the two other than Daniel Day Lewis. One is a story, the other is a character sketch.

GONY is one of those movies I can watch time and time again and not ever get bored. Great movie. TWBB is a movie I could only watch every once in a rare while... but it is the better film. Go figure.
