You used that same verse against Witty in the NWL, under the Procyon alias. Witty wrote a story about a couple of criminals escaping a crime/ and then an avalanche (bad paraphrasing)

Neither the original NC's nor its archives exist. But 3 positive ID's is sufficient, all 3 have excellent records of integrity/ honesty within the community.

I knew within 12 lines that I had already read and provided feedback on the verse.

I was wrong in the discussion, you had been caught that season recycling a verse about a demon who lives in a tarry bus of vehicular manslaughter, and not this one in particular. That doesn't change the specifics of this case. In the rules it states that violations of the battle rules are grounds for disqualification at the discretion of the moderator. And I am exercising that right.


Anyways. The ruling has been made and will not be overturned. Next time, don't recycle.

Perhaps if the integrity of the league wasn't directly at stake and if this wasnt playoffs, we would be more lenient in our ruling, say a vote deduction.

Note: that isn't including Witty or myself. But I will say with 100% certainty that I have read and voted on that battle before. It was like week 3 of me writing and I was heavily invested in the league, voting on every battle, racking up an incredibly post count

I'll say this much. I DO NOT READ MANY TOPICALS, OM OR LEAGUE. Therefore I have a much smaller mind filled vault of topicals that I've read. I read the first 2 lines and something struck me as similar. I read 4 more and I knew I'd read this before. Like split said maybe if this wasn't the playoffs you'd be let off easier. OR maybe if you didn't have a previous history of recycling against your competition you would have been let off easier. OR AND HERE'S THE BEST ONE, if you don't recycle than you won't get caught recycling. Have a nice day.

2) Meth, very confident in this claim
3) Bags, very confident in this claim
4) Genocide, recalls reading the verse in the NWL but never made a clearly worded statement
