like sometimes theres just dope ass ones that i cant not be noddin my head too
but other than that they just be there to me. to be rhymed over

thats why i said kanye my fav cause alot of his beats are just amazing to me, and i never really care bout them.

I used to feel like that when i first found rap too tbh

I was so enthralled and intrigued with the writing and storytelling rarely did a beat matter to me

Nearly 20 years later ive heard everything they have to say...to an extent....so the beats are what really keep my attention anymore....especially seeing certain rappers approaches to different melodies and breaks

Honestly .....if the beat is even mildly mediocre at this stage that songs gettin cut the fuck off i dont care if they spit the meaning of life.
