Default Question about chicken, rooster, hen..

As food.

Is there a difference between regular chicken, hen, and rooster when eating?

Like does the meat different? Not sure I’ve eaten rooster before but my gf said it’s all the same.

AI Overview
Rooster vs Hen: Know the Key Differences Between them
Rooster meat, compared to hen meat, is generally considered tougher and has a stronger flavor. It may also be leaner and take longer to cook, often requiring slow cooking to break down connective tissue. While roosters can be eaten and are sometimes considered good eating in some cultures, the meat is not as widely favored as hen meat due to its texture and flavor.
