What state do your children reside in?

I know in the State of New York.

Child Support is 17%/Child of Combined Income.

If you have more then 1 child with the same women, (Example 2) it goes up to 23%.

If you have more then 1 child with different women, (Example 2) it remains at 17% per child.

It's a federal thing. It's extremely harsh but it's because of all the dead beat fathers that exist and have not provided a single penny towards their child(ren).
