It used to be relatively kept to an invite-only up until 2002.

Upn text changed though....it started out as a collective of bunches of different sites...but then people stopped claiming other places....called themselves upn heads and thought they were better than everyone else and they pretty much were but the text became centered around upn personal disses and things changed by mm2007 text at upn was terrible for the most part..

By 2007 no one who frequented the site was still there it was mostly a discussion board after 2004 and the rest of y'all can claim what you want but clearly still hung up on text in 2021. Pretty much everyone gave no fucks 2004 onwards.

LW was essentially a collective site also

Sethros absolutely was, prob one of the earliest examples of that type of collective site with the best from all over. I doubt you were even there if I’m honest, could be wrong

Davey D’s was around mid-late 90’s, little competition outside of it. timeline wise I doubt you were actively posting there

RTM was a collective site also, a lot of heads from LW and RTM were interchangeable for example. Memberbases pretty much identical if I’m real

RM was the single biggest thing out, everyone who was anyone went through there at some point

Mentalz is another ancient one, terrible layout, some good heads like UltraViolent and Balth but hardly a worthwhile site IMO as a whole. I don’t think you were active there

UA was another collective site, similar to RTM and LW and ArtOfRhyme of whatever. Interchangeable same memberbase as others around that time

KS and FS had some decent people and the memberbase was a bit different. Big hitters were few and far between though if I’m honest. Their best names went elsewhere for competition

In the beginning upn was literally the best of the best from different text sites....the best was all that was invited at one point.....it became more of a social site than texting and then the text started to fade...actually it didn't fade...it changed....every bar was a dish on someone's personal information or life and it got to a point where if you wasn't on upn regularly you'd never understand the verses or disses....

However....at one point UPN was the best collection of text heads on the net....
