NBL Week 15 Magazine by Meth (6/30/13)

Intro

Well. Last week sucked. There was like 6 battles that got opened, the champ match was iffy due to both rushing they're verses, was a no show in the contendership match, but there was minimal bitching. So that's good. We are getting down to the nitty gritty with just this week and next week's battles before playoffs. Champ match this week is between Sharp Nine and Bob. So, make sure to vote on that. Let's move.

Hush vs Rap Maestro

Maestro is not very good. Hush came with a keystyled verse in like 11 minutes that ate dude up. No hits for RM.

Philly vs Rawn MacDon

Rawn aint a battler man that just ain't his style of writing. He can definitely get better and he has the potential to get better but some of his concepts were drawn out or just not creative enough. He had some decent concepts too though so he can get there. Phil came with a nice, and easy 10 liner with his noel line being the stand out.

GKillaZ vs Atomic

GKillaZ is terrible despite what he thinks. Don't ever center your verse again. Atomic came ok, bleh concepts with some decent wording for the easy victory.

Meth vs Xnub

I keyed some shit whilst watching futurama that was bleh to me. Most people though ex-girlfried and my wallet lines were the stand outs. Xnub needs to learn how to think of more creative concepts, and better wording to be a threat in the league.

Flo Real vs Pryde

Meh battle here. Pryde had some alright stuff. Nothing hit real hard and i dont think anything missed that bad either. Just consistently average I guess. Flo had dont wanna pry which was cool but everything else was blehhhhhhhh. Pryde won and took almost all the votes.


Untold vs Utmost

Cool battle I guess. Nothing great just kind of alright from both sides. Both are mid tier heads and are very inconsistent which they showed. Untold won and took all the votes but 1 but it was close. Both need wording help pretty badly, and if there is a Ultimate Writer II soon, these 2 could gain a whole hell of a lot.

Patrick vs Defiant

Pat had 1 bar that stood out for and that was his decadence line. His defiance line was alright but the decadence line was killer and i thought it was funny. Def came with honestly one of the worse verses I've ever seen from him. It was rush and even he knew it wasn't up to his standards. Pat swept in votes.

Sharp Nine (8-2) vs. Bob (6-2)

What I've seen from Bob is pretty good. He's already made it one champ match against Dominate and even got a few votes in that. Sharp Nine has the best record in the NBL currently, he's been solid the entire season. Just because I haven't seen much from Bob and Sharp's been pretty consistent I guess I'll go Sharp with the slight edge.

Sharp Nine 55/45

Utmost (3-4) vs. Pryde (3-1)

Meh, both need some work. Pryde's been winning some battles in this and the 1-2 but against lesser competition to be honest. Utmost has a lot of issues wording his bars. I don't know. Could be close. I think Pryde's misses will be better though. In my opinion, which is the only one that matters.

Untold (4-3) vs. FGR (3-0)

FGR is Miracle from RB/RIA? I think? I have no idea. The Miracle I remember was upper mid tier there, so lower mid tier here. He's decent but he has bad misses and is extremely inconsistent. Untold is basically the same description as Utmost. However, I think Untold will be better here. CLose though.

Have only read Flo and he's mehhhh... Haven't read mega...

Haven't read Ronic. His record leads me to believe he's at least decent. I know nothing more of him. Good luck dude.

Atomic (2-0) vs. Ctrl Alt Elite (2-2)

Control is mid tier personified and he has been for as long as I can remember. He's extrememly decent. Atomic has been slowly adapting to this style but he isn't there yet. I think this will be close but.

Xnub (1-2) vs. GKillaZ (1-2)

This is gonna be a barn burner. lol. Xnub has some upside, at least a little bit. GKillaZ is a Canadian Eminem lover who centers his verses and thinks everyone is terrible but him when in reality it's opposite. Anyway, I hope GKillaZ no shows.

Philly (1-0) vs. Loast (1-0)

Loast is BarZ he's ok. He usually has one or maybe 2 heavys in his verse but the rest is inconsistent with some bad misses or played shit. Philly da Gawd. Always fresh, always slick with the wording, always hurtful.

Rawn ain't too hot. He's got potential though. Maestro don;t really.
