with Peach as bait, Luigi stayed, concealed, in wait to take the plunge
he'd raid the front.. his brother watched the rear incase the soldiers got thru
gawping at the slaughtered corpses weirdly lay near molten rock pools
eerily displayed remains of all of those who came alone
those who solely failed to break the reign and boldly take the throne
strangely though, such sights that might deter the sane - astounding them!
meant nothing to the brothers - their perverted brains were round the bend!!
surrounding them were crowds ready to pounce, preventing loss of life
the docile guards are toppled, but protection round the boss is rife!
so once they've got inside and shot his guys with gauges, Glocks & nines
they'll off his wife inside his office whilst he's made to watch her die

see, in the past the twins were slinging crack back on the Kingdom streets
before THIS sting was planned, back when they lacked that competition streak
the kids could eat and life was great, until King Bowsers 'rise to fame'
he'd thrown a spanner in the works, suffice to say that times had changed
the once blue sky was grey, the nights were plagued with clouds of dusty smoke
as fires raged & plowed thru dusk lit homes which housed the Mushroom folk
the rustic roads were littered with remains of those who fought to live
still, mothers called their kids, distraught... a thought that's sure to haunt the twins

"look.. something ought to give, the thought of this for life is crazy bro"
"So let's go raid his home! - we'll torture him & fight to take control
his trade could make us loads - the client base worth twice our weight in gold!!"
we'll find what ace he holds & break his soul - this time we'll make him fold!!

and so ....
they vowed to make a stand & crush skulls for his drug stash
they'll reclaim the land until the plug's pulled in this blood bath
it's a basic plan to rake in grands - give & supply fiends
whilst being widely seen as heroes - they'll be living the pipe dream

'Mama-Mia!' murmured Mario with a drop of his head
more at the thought of missin' the Lakers game than the fact that Yoshi was dead
with the loss of his pet
botherin' him less than not seein' the game was
..our hero mised on how this shit ALWAYS seemed to happen on his day off!
he thought that he'd got away from those detours to distant lands
his overalls no longer fit, so he was forced to wear a pair of christmas pants
with the band that's width expanded & gave him more room
cuz since retirement his size & weight had ballooned without him even tasting a shroom...
it seemed another vacation was due, though he still felt nautious and queasy
the scent of gin practically travelling down the line as he called up Luigi
'It's-a me, Mario!' he slurred, before relayin' events surroundin' the corpse
'...D'you know who it was?' asked Luigi 'Who'd you think you giant goomba - Bowser of course!'
'Last one there's a rotten toadstool,' Luigi quipped after all was said
& Mario reached for his discolored cap to help cover up his balding head...

A swooping sun soared ahead over Mushroom Kingdom's blocks and trees
..Mario was caught at least twice humming the Delfino Plaza theme..
as he squashed & squeezed his rotund frame into the top of a pipe
emerging at the bottom to find time was once again not on his side
..he plodded on by with an iron will behind his determined gaze
and a strong must stashed beneath a mustache that was turning gray..
heard him say Peach had prolly been kidnapped again. he hadnt swung by Bowser's place in a minute
but anyway it transfigured they may as well save her bullemic ass while they're payin' a visit..
only the castles face had looked different, it was no longer the fortress admired in stone
..outside the old building King Koopa's castle looked more like Koopa's Retirement Home..
Mario sized the Bones up who flanked its entrance &
prepared to squash 'em
..but the aging guards simply waved him through as he was there so often..
Bowsers hair had softened yet he retained a hint of menace to his bitter rapport
only now the Koopa Troopers were gone, & he relied on a walking stick for support
neither was as fit as before back when their rivalry was fierce
and they vied in it for years throughout the heights of their careers
Mario sensed all wasnt quite as it appeared, as this should have been easy
but he hadn't banked on Yoshi's executioner being his brother... 'Luigi!'
he'd misjudged him completely. before Mario could prepare an attack
with the Fire Flower Luigi launched a high-powered fireball into the square of his back
there was the fact he dared to dispatch of Koopa second which offered no forgiving
but in his own Warped mind he believed he'd finally one-upped his older sibling
Below his grimace, Mario's podgy face grew sullen and callow
Their roles had reversed and it was no longer Luigi who stood in his shadow..
he took up the mantle Koopa left thinkin' he'd earned the right to be revered
that night had made it clear enough their rivalry was fierce
and though they'd vied in it for years throughout the heights of their careers,
Mario's biggest enemy wasnt Koopa.
It was Luigi's jealousy that he'd hide beneath his fears...

This was nice. Obviously you are comfortable with your lyricism and just as experienced as anyone around here. The subject matter was somewhat corny; the saving grace had to be the buttery rhyme scheme. At times, it got a bit expected...where it would rhyme and how it would rhyme. The story itself and the progression was still solid.

This is take two: I dug this drop from a urban gamer's perspective. All the grit that should be in a story based video-game-to-crime-movie adaptation in rhyme format was present. From a writer's perspective, nothing special jumped out content-wise aside from your consistent, albeit rigid, rhyme structure. For an (almost) advocate against rhyming altogether(ironically), I can still appreciate when a flow is done right. Great job overall. This was good for what it was. I look forward to reading more drops in your style.
