Yes, it would bother me if a lot of people here that I've gained respect for as writers were to die. But I think its a feeling that would pass rather quickly and painlessly

I would be sad if it happened to anyone on here, whether I like you or not.

Death transcends that for me, once someone dies I believe everything they have done wrong is erased, no point being bitter or angry towards a dead person...all that is left is respect for the fact that they were a fellow human who is no longer with us.

That death transcends shit can only go so far though. I know it's taking it to the extreme but If 1 of the members (or anyone for that matter) raped your daughter. Would you still be on that death transcends view?

It's impossible to say how I would feel...I hope I would be forgiving, the way I see it is what's the point? The person is dead, they no longer exist...why continue to live with hate for someone who doesn't exist anymore? The only person that would damage would be myself.

But yeah, it's easy for me to say that now, probably wouldn't be so easy if it did happen. Although if I did continue to hate that person I would be a hypocrite because I truly believe that when someone is dead it is done with, that hate should not be there anymore.

anyone who says they would not care about a single person - is either wasting their time in an embarrassingly obvious way because of their lack of ability to have a meaningful interaction or, worse so, their complete lack of empathy in life.

I feel sad for whatever Diode's situation is -- and in the last month he has been the biggest dick to me on the board. so yes, I would be sad.
