Default CWA Battle League Sign Ups!

What's up everyone,

I'm hosting a new text battle league called the, "CWA Writers League" (Community Writers Association). The CWA Writers League will be open all year around and up to any amount of members will be able to participate in the battle league all year around.

Details :

I will be sharing ideas, topics, and stories for each writer to read and to write their verse upon in either first person, second person or third person narrative. When you are given your instructions on what to write about, you will know exactly how to write your verses upon submission, as you then face your opponents in battle to be judged on who in fact has the better verse.

What is a first person narrative?

• A first person narrative writes as the narrator who which then depicts events from their own perspective using first person pronouns as : "I" or "we". When you write about yourself, your opinions, and the things that happen to you, you generally write in first person narrative. A first person narrative can be narrated by a first person protagonist or first person witness or so, as well.

What is a second person narrative?

• A second person narrative writes as the narrator addresses the reader directly using pronouns such as : you, your, yours, yourself, yourselves. In a fiction story, a second person narration is often used to transform the reader into a character, and is a form of writing in which the point of view of the narration is told in the voice of the reader.

What is a third person narrative?

• A third-person narrative, writes as the narrator refers to all characters with third person pronouns like he, she, or they, and never in first or second person narrative pronouns. The third person point of view belongs to the individuals themselves (or people) being talked about. The third person pronouns include : he, him, his, himself, she, her, hers, herself, it, its, itself, they, them, their, theirs, and themselves.

Rules apply as :

- Write a 16-24 bar length verse upon submission.
- All writers are to judge each battle throughout the league. Failure to adhere to this rule can result in possible point deduction and elimination.

The first 20 writers to sign up for the league will be able to participate in the league and you are more then welcomed to sign in and out of the league as frequently needed. Make you that you state your reason for not being able to participate in the league when you sign out and you will be given a second to third and more of chances to sign back into the league at your earliest convenience.

Winners will receive a $200.00 cash prize by the end of each year, and a free ad spot on my website.
