if there's an element of doubt about us at all you should say

walking away may be the hardest thing I'll ever accept
- or an awful mistake that I'll be left to regret.
but where is the sense in pretending to be something we're not
just to wind up there in the end when the love has been lost?
I'm struggling to comprehend why you're sticking around?
either it's us that you want, or we finish it now.
if you want out, id just sooner you were honest and said
rather than fill me with doubts over what to expect.
I'm not gonna end up stuck between a rock and your hard face
wanting to get out before the onset of heartbreak.

hard face/heartbreak was kind of a stretch for you.
especially after the starting barrage before that.
the story has its merits though, why when I was a young pup
that used to be the going ons of the kids down the street
alas they eventually grew up alone due to a fatherless childhood
eventually they too became the alcoholics of tomorrow...
regardless I thought that you weaved together a cool story.
pretty cool for a vent, as a topical it would have been great with more added on.
maybe drawn out from an outer persepctive if that makes sense.
