I don't think he's looking for vengeance so much as it's just the introduction of the characters to each other
batman's first look at supes was in the wake of the carnage of his battle with Zod
he obviously is concerned that superman is way too powerful, and therefore a threat to humanity
I assume they'll be besties by the end
