Default Cautions Vs. Freedoms

NY State is on lockdown. Schools closed. Can't go to restaurants or bars. This seems unconstitutional at worst, over-cautious at best.

Let the chips fall where they may.

This is America you should be able to go to a bar or restaurant and live with the risk.

It's not you you're putting in danger, though. It's like second hand smoke. You're infecting those around you who perhaps can't afford the risk the same way that you can.

The sad thing to me is that they had to mandate it at all, but I think the blame for that falls at the feet of the leadership who spent weeks leading up to all of this downplaying the severity. If it had been presented as this dire of an issue from top down from the beginning then it wouldn't be as much of a shock. That's just my opinion based on the information we've been given, though.
