Nah though, I really can't see it ever being as big in the US as it is pretty much everywhere else in the world, Americans are stubborn and rightfully so...if something like baseball or American Football started taking over here I would be mad too.

I like that different cultures play different sports, I think that it is good that America is probably one of the only countries left that still hold on to their own sports and that the majority of professional athletes in America play an American sport, football is my favourite sport but as history will show you, once football is embraced any nationally followed sports suffer dramatically, and often end up being wiped out.

Hold on to your culture and your history guys, do not embrace 'soccer'.

You must not have seen much, the idea that most games end 1-0 isn't true btw some games do, but lots of goals get scored every week in every league around the world. The passing it around part is the main part of football, strategy and tactics, finding a hole in the defense, that's how the goals are scored...I do understand why people might not like it tho, especially people who haven't been raised on it, I couldn't be introduced to a sport at this point in my life and enjoy it like I enjoy football, it's about where you're from and how you were brought up and it should stay like that.

i respect soccer because i was a goalie and it taught me how to take a cleat to the face in HS, which lead me to Rugby in college...

all that said - i would rather watch football than soccer... and that's credible shit.
