What do you believe in?
A soft bed, sleeping. Silence makes it creepy. But he fights the freeze, to focus on the way his mind is leaping. He thinks about the afterlife, she gave him a reason. But he feels the love, used it to create the sane that he needed. So now he's bakin some green n takin blunts to the face He's paintin the picture, patient as it jumps off the page. He sees the art within the world, as it twirls and he ages. Flip through the pages. A love for small things, but quickly it faded. The soul is escaping. Pain is overwhelming, his mind for the taking. Washed clean, replaced with something else, he grinds &he fakes it. Search for heat, and get the shoulder, colder than ice. Alone in the dark, stark as a bone, although they told him it's life. Ruckus n jokin. Hard to read, n so they pluck through the notions. He'll never be accepted, so he suppresses, tucks his emotions. He's stuck in the motion. Can no longer make puddles to oceans. The eyes he had have come n gone, they're muddled and frozen. He lays at night and thinks of when the days were bright and vivid. But thanks his stars for dank and bars, and God for lights he's given. Answers to the question surface, without the heart to believe sense. With faith in her he'll lose the way. Instead he hides the spite that bites like sharks through the pretense. I believe in me. Another old one |
