I've gone long enough without having enough,
So I take it where I can get it I ain't passing it up.
I imagine that my passion ain't surpassing a buck,
So if you ain't bout your money I'll give you scavengers up!
I've been in the struggle so I talk for the weak,
I've had family members dying too busy coughing to speak
I've had friends get so high they fell off of the peak
Shit I've gone about a year seeing a coffin a week!
You don't know my story or the shit that I've went through,
Cuz I never let it stop me I just act like I've been cool,
But behind closed doors my emotions got me resentful,
Like why'd you take my mama when you know that I've sinned too!
Now I get it I get it,
I ain't done enough yet,
Raising 2 beautiful kids but still I'm upset
Cuz you took away their grandma before they ever met
An raising angels with an angel makes for better success!
But, I know your here when I hear the voice of my daughter
Laughing an sayin "dahdee" as if your the one that had taught her.
Cuz nobody else had the way with kids that you had,
And every night I dream of you sayin that I've made a good dad.
The struggle is real, but I've been overcoming it since way back,
I stay stackin my chips like lays stacks so of course the haters hate that,
But I do it for my family not the hoes or some lame crap,
I just live my life like a movie so I don't regret it when it plays back.
